Easy Spiced Apple Cider (2 Ingredients!) | Cozy Crockpot Fall Drink

Chilly weather is here! There’s something about fall that makes me crave a mug of something warm and fragrant. And you can’t go wrong with Spiced Apple Cider! I’ve been making this easy fall recipe since October, and I plan to make it many more times before the year is over.

There’s something so perfect about apple cider simmering away in the crockpot, a tradition I learned from my mom. She always made it simple: just a jug of local apple cider and a bag of Red Hots. That’s it. Two ingredients, and the whole house smelled like fall in about an hour.

I love how the Red Hots slowly melt into the cider, turning it a beautiful rosy color and giving it that spicy kick. It’s cozy, nostalgic, and festive all at once. Perfect for gatherings, Sunday afternoons, or just sipping while the leaves fall outside your window.

Here’s how to make it:

  • Pour 1 gallon of fresh apple cider into a crockpot.

  • Add 1 bag (9 oz) of Red Hots cinnamon candies.

  • Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours, stirring occasionally until the candies dissolve.

  • Ladle into mugs and enjoy warm.

If you want to dress it up, tuck a cinnamon stick into each mug or float a few apple slices on top. But honestly? It’s delicious just the way it is: simple, sweet, and spicy, just like my mom always made it.
